AS A DANCER, CUTTING MOVING IMAGES FELT IMMEDIATELY NATURAL. THEY REMINDED ME OF THE RICHNESS AND JOY I EXPERIENCE IN COMMUNICATING WITH MY MOVING BODY THROUGH THE VARIETY OF ITS RHYTHM, SPEED AND VISUAL QUALITY.

I ALSO REALLY ENJOY AND HAVE QUITE A BIT OF EXPERIENCE IN FILMING DANCE AND VARIOUS FORMS OF MOVEMENTS.

BEYOND THAT MY INTEREST IS VERY ECLECTIC AND I WELCOME ANY TOPIC AND EDITING PROJECTS, SMALL OR BIG, AND WHATEVER THE TYPE OF FOOTAGE MATERIAL YOU MIGHT HAVE. IN THE SUMMER OF 2016, FOR EXAMPLE I WORKED WITH ARTIST KHADIJA VON ZINNENBURG CAROLL WHO HAD ACCESS TO A VARIOUS MIX OF ARCHIVE MATERIAL FROM REFUGEE DETENTION CENTRE AND AFTER LOOKING AT WHAT SHE HAD I SUGGESTED WE MADE A FILM WITH THE DRAWINGS OF THE DETAINEES WHICH BECAME ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE. THIS WAS A BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY OF EXPLORING THE RICHNESS OF AN OBJECT THAT SEEMED TOO INSIGNIFICANT AT FIRST AND OF BRINGING A DIFFERENT VISUAL EXPERIENCE ABOUT A TOPIC, REFUGEE AND DETENTION, WHICH IS HEAVILY CONNOTED VISUALLY.
